On-Site Workshops at YPT 2025.26 Season

New this season, Young People’s Theatre is offering on-site workshops! They are an excellent way to enhance and extend your school’s visit to the theatre. Students will work with a professional artist educator, developing a range of skills, including: creativity, problem solving, self-expression, and critical thinking.

Workshops run approximately 60 minutes in length.

Each workshop costs $250 + HST per class (up to 30 students depending on studio availability).

See below for the dates available for on-site workshops and please take note of the recommended grade ranges for each production to determine the most appropriate option for your students.

TEAM BUILDING WORKSHOPS

September 23 and 25, 2025 | 1 hour slots available between 9am to 4pm
Gr. 3 – 12

At the start of the school year, this Team Building workshop is a wonderful opportunity for your students to bond with one another, while developing trust, confidence, and community. Students will participate in a series of drama exercises and games focused on teamwork, listening, and communication.

PERFORMANCE ACCOMPANIED WORKSHOPS

Come see one of the following shows at YPT, then join us for a workshop after the performance! These workshops will include various drama games and activities relating to the themes of the particular show. A space for lunch will also be provided between the performance and workshop.

Here’s what your day at YPT could look like:

10:15-11:45am – Watch a performance at YPT and participate in a post-show Q&A

12:00-12:30pm – Have lunch at YPT in your own designated space (please note that lunch is not provided)

12:30-1:30pm – Participate in a 1-hour workshop with a professional artist educator

1:30pm – Leave the theatre with plenty of time to get back to school!
