YPT offers an array of theatrical workshops, run by our professional Artist Educators.

Interested in booking tickets to one of our shows and want to enhance your experience with a visit from an Artist Educator to your class? Book pre-show and post-show workshops connected to a YPT production in our season. These drama-based workshops actively engage students in exploring specific themes and ideas from the play.

Companion workshop packages include two school visits by an Artist Educator (before AND after the scheduled performance date) for $425.

Each workshop can accommodate one class (up to 30 students).

YPT’s drama workshops encourage students to develop their creativity, communication and problem-solving. These workshops can be designed to suit your students’ needs and interests. Common theatrical topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Improvisation
  • Teamwork and Ensemble Building
  • Scene Study
  • Musical Theatre
  • Theatre for Young Audiences

Don’t see a topic you like? Reach out and we can discuss more options!

Workshops can occur at your school or at YPT in our studio spaces. Each workshop costs $250 and can accommodate one class of up to 30 students.

YPT’s residency program involves a series of workshops over several weeks. Length of workshops and series are determined in collaboration with the school. Workshops typically occur at the participating school.

These programs are an excellent opportunity to develop a long-term drama program with the support of experienced arts educators. Let YPT help you build a drama lunch club, elective program, full drama unit, and more!

Residencies often culminate in a final performance, but this is not a requirement.

Cost is dependent on length of residency. One residency booking can accommodate one group of up to 30 students.
