Joelle Peters

Joelle is an Indigenous (Anishinaabe/Miami) actor and playwright from Walpole Island First Nation, Bkejwanong Territory. She is currently based in Toronto and has worked at many great theatre companies and festivals across Canada including Factory Theatre, Western Canada Theatre, Thousand Islands Playhouse, Theatre Northwest, The Toronto Fringe, Summerworks Festival, and more. Joelle recently presented a staged reading of her play in development Niish at the Paprika Festival and will be continuing to write and workshop the piece throughout 2020.
