Privacy Policy

We understand that your personal information and privacy is important to you. We make every effort to ensure that the information you share with us is recorded accurately, retained securely, and used only according to your wishes.

What

During the course of our relationship we may collect some personal information. This may include your name, street and email address, phone numbers, and credit card information. We also have a record of your purchases and donations. We sometimes have more detailed information from patrons who have been dedicated and long-term supporters of Young People’s Theatre (YPT), for example the names of members of their family, business addresses and special interests.

When

Most of this information is collected when you buy tickets, make a donation or register for the Drama School. It may come to us through your phone call, mail or email order or when you come to the Box Office.

Why

We need this information for billing purposes, to mail your tickets, to contact you about changes in schedule or upcoming events and special offers: in short, to provide the level of service you have come to expect from us.

Mailing List

Your name will be added to our patron list when you book tickets, make a donation or register for the Drama School. This enables you to receive regular communications from YPT. With your consent, you may receive information from us, from our sponsors or other like-minded arts organizations from time to time, that we believe you may find of interest. If you prefer not to receive this information at any time, please contact us at 416.862.2222 or at boxoffice@youngpeoplestheatre.org.

We try to contact all our ticket buyers at least once every year to obtain feedback, update information and offer the opportunity to become more closely associated with the YPT through membership.

Sponsorship plays a vital role in funding our productions and helps to keep costs down. YPT may sometimes offer our patrons special promotions on behalf of our sponsors. Sometimes, as a service to our patrons, we may also distribute information regarding related cultural organizations.

Where

Only authorized personnel have access to this information. If ever we share your information with an outside organization (such as the mailing house that sends out our season handbook), we have a contract binding them to the same strict privacy controls that we use ourselves.

Information that you provide at this website during the secure connection is encrypted for security and transferred with no risk of being intercepted. We also assess new technology for protecting customer information on an ongoing basis.

How

With your consent, we will send you information that we believe to be of interest to you. We are also committed to ensuring that patrons and donors do not receive an unreasonable number of letters or phone calls.

Any concerns or complaints must be made in writing and can be addressed to:
