Every Thursday in July, YPT facilitates drama sessions with H.appi Camper – a camp for 75 Syrian children spending their first summer in Canada. The camp runs from July 4 – July 29.
H.appi Camper is “a culturally sensitive summer camp program targeted at Syrian refugee children and adults residing in the Greater Toronto Area. The purpose of this camp is to (a) help integrate Syrian refugees into Canadian communities, (b) improve their literacy and English language skills, and (c) improve their quality of life by ameliorating their emotional and mental health.”
