Cultural Gym – Theme: Celebration

December 16, 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

The Cultural Gym, YPT’s newest community program, is an opportunity for both children and adults to exercise their creative muscles! Cultural Gym sessions will introduce specific aspects of theatre and performance to help participants develop new drama-based skills. Four different sessions will be offered throughout our 2015/16 season, each with a unique focus and led by professional artists. Come challenge yourself in new ways and be part of an artistic community!

Session #2: Intro to Collective Creation with Rob Kempson

Facilitated by one of YPT’s Resident Artist Educators, Rob Kempson, you will learn the basic techniques of collective creation (theatre created by a group around a given theme), including writing, staging, and performance. Each week, the theme will change and so will the creation.

Participants:
We welcome children, youth and adults to attend the program! Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
