SUMMARY:Drama Time Program - Parent Resources Drop-In Centre
DESCRIPTION:Drama Time – Parent Resources\nParent Resources  is a family drop-in centre in the South Riverdale neighbourhood that offers programs for infants\, children and caretakers/parents. YPT provides support to the organization by facilitating a year-long artist residency for children from 0-4 years of age\, with an average of 15 infants and toddlers at each session. The majority of the participants\, both caregivers and children\, are non-English speakers. \nFor most sessions we have a Parent Resources staff member assisting by translating our facilitation to the participants. Our 45-minute sessions take place at the centre on Mondays and explore a particular theme through reading\, dramatization\, song and craft making. The program seeks to enhance and integrate learning and literacy among young children by enabling the use of creativity\, emotional expression and sensory stimulation. \nThis is a program of The Ada Slaight Education Centre at YPT\, established through a generous donation from The Slaight Family Foundation. \nFor more information about Parent Resources please visit: http://parentresourcesdropin.ca/
