Viv Moore

viv mooreBorn in England, Viv has danced, choreographed and acted, both collaboratively, with Dave Wilson as Remote Control, and as a solo artist since 1979 (Australia, England, Sweden, Canada). She has studied Clown, Bouffon, Butoh, Stage Combat and English Clog. Selected credits: Dance – Fujiwara Dance, Sashar Zarif, Allison Cummings, Holly Small; Acting – Theatre Rusticle; The Witch, The Strain, Damien (TV/Film); Theatre Direct (Choreography); outside eye and Movement Coach – numerous dance and theatre productions; community dance (RNIB, CNIB, deaf & partial hearing, multi-abilities, psychiatric survivors); Professor, Dance and Movement at Humber College (since 1985); curator/festival presenter (60×60), Nuit Blanche Dance Ontario at Distillery; artistic director, Body Percussion Festival. Received: Harold Award (1998-99); Paula Citron 1999 fFIDA Award (Bogie Woman) and several Dora nominations. Solo performance work Worcestershire Saucy inspired by an eclectic mix of movement forms. Chalmers Arts Fellowship research (2012) – English Step (Kent); Bullwhip, Knife, Tomahawk, Archery (L.A.); Butoh (Vienna).
